Groovy Tours Jamaica – Cancellation Policy

We understand that plans can sometimes change, and we strive to be fair in our cancellation policy. Please review the following terms carefully before booking, as they will apply to your reservation.

Tour & Transfer Cancellations:

The amount refundable for cancellations depends on when the written notice is received by Groovy Tours Jamaica relative to the scheduled tour or transfer date.

  • Cancellations made 7 days before the scheduled tour/transfer date: A full refund of the total booking amount will be issued.

  • Cancellations made 5 days before the scheduled tour/transfer date: A refund of 60% of the total booking amount will be issued. A 25% administration/service fee will apply.

  • Cancellations made 1-2 days before the scheduled tour/transfer date: A refund of 50% of the total booking amount will be issued. A 50% administration/service fee will apply.

  • No-Shows (failure to arrive at the designated meeting point at the agreed time) or cancellations made on the day of the scheduled tour/transfer: No refund will be issued. The full booking amount is forfeited. This includes situations where delays caused by the client result in missing the tour/transfer.

Special Circumstances & Force Majeure:

  • Weather-Dependent Tours: For tours significantly impacted by weather conditions (e.g., rafting, certain water activities, zip-lining), Groovy Tours Jamaica reserves the right to postpone the tour to a mutually agreed-upon alternative date or offer a partial refund (subject to the above cancellation policy if cancelled by the client). If the tour cannot be safely operated due to weather, an alternative suitable tour may be suggested, or a refund as per the policy will be considered.

  • Force Majeure: In the unlikely event that Groovy Tours Jamaica must cancel a tour or transfer due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control (such as extreme weather events, natural disasters, government mandates, significant safety concerns, or major logistical failures), we will notify clients as soon as possible. In such cases, clients will be offered either:
    • A full refund of the booking amount.
    • The option to reschedule the tour or transfer for a future date (subject to availability).
      Groovy Tours Jamaica cannot be held liable for additional costs incurred by the client due to such cancellations.

Important Notes:

  • Notice of Cancellation: Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing, preferably via email or WhatsApp

  • Refund Processing: Refunds will be processed using the original method of payment. Please allow3-5] business days for the refund to appear in your account, although this can depend on your bank or payment provider.

  • Changes to Bookings: Changes to your booking (e.g., date, time, participants) made less than 7 days prior to the scheduled date may incur an administration fee or be subject to availability and re-cancellation/refund policies. Please contact us as soon as possible for assistance.

  • Airport Transfers: The same cancellation policy generally applies to airport transfers unless otherwise specified during booking. Last-minute cancellations or no-shows for transfers can cause significant disruptions and are strongly discouraged.
